Change the refresh rate on your 16-inch MacBook Pro or Apple Pro Display XDR

Change the refresh rate on your MacBook Pro or Apple Pro Display XDR - Apple Support

If you have no external display attached, you have no option to change the frequency ...(?)

if are you in Video editing software...you can set the refresh rate of your display to match the frame rate of the video you're editing or viewing.

Press and hold the Option key and select the Scaled button. This will force the dialogue: Refresh Rate as an option.
