Why is the call history log too short? Android has almost a log spanning over 3 years.

Correct. If you need anything more than is provided on device, you need to contact your carrier.
Android users never have to do that. It's integrated into the OS and very convenient. Lack of this feature on Apple phones is a glaring inconvenience. This can be verified with any user who has moved to an apple phone from Android.
Your call history is maintained by your carrier.
