It sounds like you're following instructions for an iPhone or iPad, not a Mac. On your Mac the app called Settings on an iOS device is called SystemPreferences.
Use Wallet & Apple Pay on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
Note this:
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Wallet & Apple Pay .

Thanks so much. When I go to System Prefs, there's nothing called Wallet and nothing called Apple Pay.
Is it because my MacBook Pro is so old? 2015?? Even when I click "finder" and type in Wallet or Apple Pay
nothing comes up.
gggrrrrrr Very frustrating
Perhaps it's an App I need to download? IDK
It's a great time for a new computer.
But if that is not a realistic possibility, or you need to wait for one to be built for you, your Apple Card does come with a conventional credit card number, expiration date, and CCV code. You can enter those manually as if it were a non-magical card.
WHICH settings? for what?
I need to access the Settings on my MacBook Pro so I can set up Apple Pay,
But I can't find anything called "Settings"... The instructions say "Go to
Settings, and click on Wallet..." Not helpful.
Apparently it requires Touch ID. If your Mac doesn't have that then there's nothing you can do.
Thanks. That might be the problem. Time for a new computer I guess!
I appreciate your time, and your knowledge.
Thank you.
