can you update the airpods firmware from an apple watch?

I am an android user, but i have bought the airpods pro, and they need their firmware to be updated. When you use them with an iphone, ipad or iMac, they update automatically, but since i dont have any other apple product they can’t. Now i have to update them, but i dont want to change to an iphone, because it is too expensive. So, i’m wondering if the airpods can be updated from an apple watch.
