Mindfulness reminders don't work

The reminders on the Mindfulness app don't seem to work at all. For starters they weirdly set themselves an hour later than what is entered (if I try to set it for 8:00am, it shows up as 9:00am). And what's worse is they only show up sporadically even if they're set to recur daily... sometimes they pop up, sometimes they don't.

Honestly this is just as bad as the old Breathe app which would send reminders at two o'clock in the morning unless it was disabled. How is Apple still unable to improve such a simple feature?

I am using a Series 7 watch that is fully updated to OS 8.3.

As I mentioned in my original post I already have custom reminders set up, but they never actually alert me when they're supposed to. And it has nothing to do with the focus status/Do Not Disturb... they just don't work at all, ever. I get maybe one reminder every 3-4 days completely at random and that's about it.

Hello Freestyle1228,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

These steps can help you adjust your reminders:

Adjust or turn off reminders1. On your Apple Watch, tap Settings.2. Tap Mindfulness.3. Select Start of Day or End of Day. You can also tap Add Reminder to schedule a custom reminder. You can also adjust the haptics of your reminders or tap Weekly Summary to receive a notification on Monday with the previous week's Mindfulness activity.

Verify you don't have any focus statuses enabled during this times.

More information can be found here: Use the Mindfulness app

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Which device and watchOS version are you currently using? When did you first notice this? Also, is this the only app you are having issues with?

Take Care!

freestyle1228,

Let's go ahead and update your Apple Watch to 8.5.1 and your iPhone that is paired with your Apple Watch. Often these steps will resolve these types of issues with notifications.

The first steps to update your Apple Watch is to update your iPhone.

1. Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
2. Make sure that your Apple Watch is at least 50 percent charged.
3. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi.
4. Keep your iPhone next to your Apple Watch, so that they're in range.

It could take from several minutes to an hour for the update to complete. You might want to update overnight or wait until you have time.

This information is provided in Update your Apple Watch.

Once both devices are updated, test and let us know the result.

Regards.
