There is a billing problem with a previous purchase...?!!

Hey all,

I'm trying to redownload a bunch of my old Itunes purchases I have had over the years.

It's the first time i've used this account for a long time. I was keen to get my stuff back. However today I've discovered that i've been rudely locked out of my account.

My old Debit card had expired last year and I got a new one lately.

But I tried to redownload my old purchases, these purchases were fully paid for long ago, and i could always used to redownload them for free, and a message keeps popping up that says "There has been a billing problem with a previous purchase." So I go and fix the debit card info with my new card and still get this error popping up.

Now there are a few odd things about this;

1) I was never emailed or contacted by Apple and they never told me, ever that I had a previous billing problem. I have checked through my emails. They usually email me for errors but no, I did not get any from them.

2) I can't see what needs to be fixed up. I haven't bought anything off Itunes with my own personal card in about 5 years or so. But i've had this account for a long time. The last things I bought from them was through a gift card at Christmas last year that didn't have any funds from my bank linked.

So my question is, of course, how do I check to see what purchase needs fixing and how to fix this? Is this an Itunes glitch? And why didn't Itunes contact me before hand if they found a problem? I'm going through my Account activity and can't see any problems & everything seems fine.

I just wanna redownload my stuff.
