Greetings smartabrett,

On 14 Mar 2022, Apple released iOS 15.4. Just to verify, is the iPhone on iOS 15.4? If not, create a backup of your iPhone, then update the software. Here's a guide to help: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If the iOS is updated, you may want to consider going to Settings > Music, then turn off Sound Check. Next, Restart your iPhone. Does this help to resolve the issue? (Often, this simple step will refresh the apps and software on the device to solve numerous problems you may encounter.) Once the iPhone has restarted, go to Settings > Music, then turn on Sound Check. Does this help to correct the issue?

If you need further assistance after following this step, you may want to Contact Apple for support and service for further support with the issue.

Kind regards!

I too have been having soundcheck issues starting back with iOS 14. I always update in hopes of it being resolved but it’s not. I’ve figured out that my Apple Music songs abide by the song check setting but songs that I’ve imported into my iTunes/Apple Music library in years past (for example a song downloaded from BeatPort or SoundCloud) isn’t impacted by Sound check. HOWEVER, sound check use to work properly on my iPhone prior to iOS 14. Now I’m on 15.4.1 and it’s still not fixed. I’ve tried everything. Resets, volume changes, EQ changes, etc!

I did as you said - turned off Sound Check - restarted phone - turn Sound Check back on

that didn't work

I checked and the volume level is fine from the phone into my earpods

I also checked in Music on my desktop & the volume levels were fine there too

Its just in Carplay that the problem exists

Using iOS 15.4.

cant seem to find a version number for Car Play

I have a late model Subaru Impreza - I believe it is Harmon Kardon head unit
