Reminder App on Mac stopped working shortly after migrating to new Mac and Monterey

Reminder app works well between my iOS devices and sync worked between my iOS devices and my Mac but Reminder suddenly stopped working on my Mac last week. I am on Monterey 12.3 and recently migrated computer to computer but this problem did not immediately show. When I open the app, none of my lists are there but also creating reminders or lists functions are greyed. I tried kicking out the files in the library as seen on a forum, tried unticking and re ticking the app on the iCloud account, but nothing worked. What could it be? Never had trouble with the app before and iCal is working across devices. My old Mac is shut off but still has my old data, could it be a problem?

Hello Aimée,

If an app isn't working as expected on your Mac, try these steps:

1. ) Quit and reopen the app

uit the app, then open it again. If the app won't quit, force the app to quit. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

2.) Restart your Mac

Restart your Mac. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

3.) Check for updates

To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, then click Updates. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your Mac. Or if you didn't get the app from the App Store, look for updates to the app on the app developer's website. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

4.) Reinstall the app

Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. If you didn't get the app from the App Store, redownload the app on the app developer's website. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

Thank you for the answer. I had already tried 1, 2, and 3. I tried uninstall the app but it is uninstallable apparently. I will contact Apple Support if my IT department can't solve it.
