Magnets in photo backpack cause newer MacBook to turn on/wake up/boot?

I just ordered a very highly-regarded photo backpack (Peak Design's Everyday Backpack). As I'm watching more videos and reading more reviews on the pack, I've found reports of some folks finding that inserting their M1 MacBooks into the pack's laptop sleeve causes it to turn itself on if off or wake up if it's asleep.

Is this a known issue and, if it is, is there a work-around? (I have a 13" MacBook Pro M1 from 2020.)

You would need to find a way to block the backpack's magnets so they don't affect the laptop. I think it would be easier to use another backpack which does not have magnets. If users are posting videos of the issue and they are not posting solutions, then I think you have your answer. This would be a question to ask the backpack's manufacturer.
