How to sync Mac with Android Phone

Can anyone recommend a fix for this issue??

Trying to keep my calendar synced between my Mac and my Android is so aggravating as to be beyond words!

I've already tried SyncMate and while it worked ok for a few months it began not syncing some calendar entries and then just ended up locking up and no longer working.

I've spent COUNTLESS HOURS searching for answers (because releasing technology and then not providing trained support folk - read as 'just figure it out on your own' - is just how things are done today!!! :-( :-( )

An app-specific password would need to be created to use Apple services, such as iCloud Calendar and iCloud Contacts, with a 3rd-party app.
