If you are using the Microsoft Outlook application on PC, you should be able to disable it, (I thought, not sure) from Outlook -> File -> Options -> Outlook Options -> ?.

Thanks again...... just looked at the above link - think the Outlook v iphone5s IOS 12.5.5 problem is covered in the answers.microsoft chains/reply - will experiment & only revert if I don't readily resolve.
