I still receive audio notifications from apps like Messages when I have "Do Not Disturbed" turned on. This interrupts video meetings and presentations, where everyone can hear the notifications, and also just my own work flow. "Do Not Disturb" on my old laptop did not have this problem.

Thanks for the info! But I do not have any apps or people allowed to ring through. Indeed, the notification window is not appearing in the top right of my screen, but all sounds are still coming through. Seems like we need a little more help here, maybe it is a bug.

Good guess. I do have an iPhone and an iPad, but I am not sharing these settings. Do Not Disturb works just fine on my iPhone and iPad, when it is on, I don't get any sounds or notifications on those devices. It's just an issue on my M1 MacBook Pro with Monterey. Thanks for the suggestions though! I'm guessing it's either a bug, or a change that was purposefully made. I just wish I knew which!

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried creating a new user and testing there. Same thing happens. Even if I set the application to "No Notifications," and also have Do Not Disturb on, it still plays a sound when the message is received. I also confirmed that on my old MacBook Pro with Catalina, this does not happen. Do you happen to know how I can try to get the attention of someone at Apple?
Focus, which has replaced DND, is both more flexible and more complicated. You may have to make some adjustments in your settings.
It has been replaced in that it is no longer its own thing. It's a set of choices under "Focus" and it works differently than the old DND.
As for suggestions, you need to review what apps and people are configured to be allowed to ring through. The instructions on how to configure it are above.
Yup, exactly! I'm turning it on with either the touch bar, or simply by clicking it directly in the menu on the toolbar. Even when it is turned on, I have the same problem.
"Do Not Disturb" has not been replaced. It is a setting under "Focus." Do you have any suggestions? I do not think that it is possible, as I've looked through the settings many times.
How are you turning it on? In the screenshot, it is both turned off and the automation is not checked. Are you turning it on manually whenever you need it on?
Do you have an iPhone? Does it have different settings that are being shared? Just speculating here.
Use the "Get Support" link at the top right of every page of these forums. People have also suggested using Twitter but I have used that in years so can't tell you much about it.
