How can I use my Canon P208II scanner on Catalina?

I have a Canon P208II document scanner which worked ok on OS Mojave (USB connection) in 32 bit. I downloaded a driver from the Canon site which is stated as suitable for Catalina and ran the installer but cannot find the app. Where would it be on my Mac and how do i open it?

Hey there tallboy292,

If you're unable to find an application on your Mac, try using the Spotlight feature to help you find it! Use the steps below to help with Spotlight:

Step 1: "On your Mac, click the Spotlight icon  (if shown) in the menu bar, press Command-Space bar, or press the Spotlight key (if available) in the row of function keys on the keyboard.

You can drag the Spotlight window anywhere on the desktop.

Tip: If the Spotlight icon isn’t in the menu bar, add it using Dock & Menu Bar preferences.

Step 2: In the search field, type what you’re looking for—results appear as you type.

Spotlight lists top hits first; click a top hit to preview or open it. Spotlight also suggests variations of your search; you can view those results in Spotlight or on the web."

Search with Spotlight on Mac

We hope this helps.

Take care!
