I changed my Apple ID now my apps will not update. Do I have to delete all iPhone apps set up under old Apple ID before I can update?

The apps never update, they just say waiting...I changed my Apple ID. Now I have to determine if I need to sign into my old Apple ID to update apps OR delete all apps on my iPhone and reinstall.
