Certainly not.


Here is one counterexample.


The article linked above discusses, under “Use Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode”, a “Press and Hold” feature. That feature requires iOS 14.6 or greater. Your nearly eight year old iPhone 6 cannot use an iOS version greater than 12.X.
