icon on top right of my desktop screen

What is the circle with the white arrowhead pointing to approx 3 o'clock appearing on the top right hand of my desk top computer beside the volume icon?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

No it wasn't that. When I clicked on it, it was like I was playing a song or video. I wasn't. I managed to get rid of it by restart.

When I clicked on it... it opened with what looked to be a song or video but it didn't play when I tried. I wasn't playing any songs or videos.
