M1 Macbook Air Rubber Seal around the screen

I hope this thread won’t get deleted. If this post is not in the right forum, I apologised.

I am trading in my 2017 13 Inch Macbook Pro with the problem of the screen rubber seal melting, disintegrating and sticking onto the keyboard.

I am considering an M1 Macbook Air and want to know if any user experiences such a problem. Thank you.

I don't, but I've seen posts here with problems exactly like yours.

If you're concern is trade-in value, the deteriorating seal will lower the offer.

Thanks ku4hx!

I hope to get some at least some $ from the 2017 MBP before the trade-in value drops further or before Apple no longer accepts trade-in for it.

I hope the M1 MBP do not suffer from this issue
