IMac Monterey

Updated to Monterey on my newish iMac. Junk folder appears to have disappeared. Apparently similar problems were encountered with Big Sur which were solved by hovering over the favourites icon but that doesn't appear to work with Monterey.

Any ideas please?

After Monterey upgrade, all my files are gone! I normally access my folders by clicking on the HD icon on my desktop. The only folders there after the Monterey upgrade are Applications, Library, System and Users. Major panic. Following others' comments I have looked in the bin and there's nothing there. Finally, I did a search on a folder I use regularly and have found everything. If anyone else has this issue, look under Users/Shared/Relocated Items/Security/ and hopefully you'll find your life in there as I did. Bizarre. Phew. Here's hoping I can just drag them back to where I want them.

Finder cannot search file folders on Monterey 12.1 Mac mini M1 Please see attached photos, this is a head scratcher. I cannot use finder to search for any files on my HD... like I can't search folders even though I have the preferences set up to search the folder the finder window is opened with and you can see the finder confirmation of which folder it's searching... So I know that I am searching for a file that actually exists, and I am searching in the correct folder, and I know that my settings are at least correct as far as which folder finder is searching. Otherwise I cannot figure out how to fix this or even begin to figure out why this is happening, thanks in advance for your time!

Desktop folders disappeared on upgrade to Monterey 12.5.1 Hello I just made the bad decision to upgrade to Monterey 12.5.1 on my iMac 24", M1, 2021. All desktop files missing, tried disk doctor and various online suggestions many of which do not apply to my menu system. Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated. Thank you
