Photo Booth

Hello my Photo Booth is not working when I try to take videos. My photos work but when I try to take videos it freezes up and the countdown sounds but the videos just don't work or get saved. Ive had this problem since I bought the computer in 2021 and I've never been able to make a video. My friend is also having the same problem but she was able tu use it before, her Mac is also new. I have a MacBook Air please help.
