iPhone 7 overheating, black blobs on screen

Hi,

My iPhone 7 heats up and crashes internet-connected apps. It heats up just below the back camera area, so not on the side where the battery is. A few growing irregular black blobs appeared on the display over the area that heats up the most, but I don't know if it's related to the overheating or the fact that the screen is also cracked and glitching. The blobs don't show up in screenshots.

What is causing it to heat up, and are the black blobs related to the problem?

Most likely, it is still battery related or some type of logic board failure. Regardless, I suggest that you stop using it immediately and be sure to power it down. Then pay a visit to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have then take a look and provide you with your options. Alternatively, you can contact Apple Support directly by simply selecting the "Get Support" link in the upper right-hand side of this forum's web page.
