Is Worth buying Apple TV 4K first generation ?

Dear community,

I have a Samsung TV with Full HD display. I want to buy an Apple TV first 4K generation . Will be this device supported by Apple in the future ? Are there notable differences between first 4K and 2021 4K Apple TV ? Can I view without lag movies on Netflix and YouTube at 1920x1080 60 fps ? Apple TV+ is not present in my country, Romania yet. Sorry for these questions , I am deaf too and I want to make the best choice in my case. My hearing aids are compatible with Apple devices.

Thanks very much !

Apple ecosystem works best for me in my case.

In these conditions, would Apple TV 4K be a good option ?

If the App Store on Apple TV has apps for Romanian users, then you could get Netflix and YouTube there.

No Apple video services there at this time, though. Availability of Apple Media Services - Apple Support

60 Hz high frame rate video input is supported for SDR on the Apple TV 4K (1st generation).

60 Hz high frame rate video input is supported for SDR and HDR on the Apple TV 4K (2nd generation).

Will be supported by Apple in the future?

Apple TV 4K (1st generation) is a discontinued product, and shouldn’t be available anymore through Apple or Apple Authorized Resellers. It will continue to be supported software-wise for the coming years (at least 5 years from the discontinuation date, but I expect even more, as the older 4th generation non-4K model is still a current product). App makers and content providers can support a device for as long as they want – no guarantees.
