Apparently, I must not have true Apple Airpods. Though they look exactly like the real thing, when I take them out and put them in my ears, and this is just an assumption, they tell me that they are turned on/off in what I believe to be Chinese. When this happens, I have no devices connected to the Airpods, er even turned, furthermore, even if I did have any of my devices turned on or even connected to the Airpods, none of my devices even have Siri installed. Therefore, it has to be a program installed within the Airpods themselves. This is why I can only conclude that these are, again, not true Apple Airpods. I purchased these Airpods on Amazon as an accessory to the iPhone I purchased and no longer have any paperwork detailing who the

manufacturer is. Thank everyone very much for your assistance.

Hello GSMyers1959,

If you're referring to the language Siri uses on AirPods, this setting would be managed on the Apple device your AirPods are connected to.

"On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Go to Settings > Siri & Search.

Tap Language to change the language that Siri uses for requests and responses.

Tap Siri Voice to change the voice that Siri speaks.

To hear spoken responses from Siri on your device, tap Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Responses."

"On your Mac

If you have a Mac with macOS Sierra or later, go to Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Siri. From here, you can choose the following:

  • Language: Change the language that Siri will use for requests and responses.
  • Voice Variety: Change the variety of the language that Siri uses.
  • Siri Voice: Change the voice that Siri speaks.
  • Voice Feedback: Turn on to hear spoken responses from Siri. If you turn this off, you won’t hear a spoken response but will see Siri’s response in the Siri window."

See more information in Change Siri voice or language

If you're referring to third-party headphones, then we'd recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for additional support with this.

Take care!
