Troubleshooting iMessages and FaceTime:

You don't really log out of it. You just stop using the app. For me, I just lock FaceTime using Screen Time (as if I were a parent who didn't want someone accessing the camera).

Troubleshooting Messaging:

Try Ending it Correctly:

Go Here: Use Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Or...

Disable FaceTime in Screen Time:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Screen Time
  3. Tap: Allowed Apps
  4. Tap: FaceTime (So it is greyed out)
