Automatically switch to the speaker when not holding your iPhone to your ear, Does this option really work??

Is there a way to make the iphone turn on the speakerphone when its not up to your ear? I heard you can but I cant find the right option in settings. I want it to automatically turn on speaker when its not near my head.

Found this option but not working:

Settings-->Accessibility-->Voice over--->Audio-Auto select speaker in call (During audio calls, automatically switch to the speaker when not holding your iPhone to your ear)

iPhone 12, iOS 15

Thanks for getting back to us with that question, PranayPatel. It's appreciated.

Change your VoiceOver settings on iPhone - Apple Support -- As you can see, you're going to the correct setting: Settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver > Audio > Auto-select Speaker in Call which should automatically switch to the speaker during a call when you’re not holding iPhone to your ear.

Get Support -- Since it isn't working as expected, we still recommend contacting Apple Support for further help.

All the best.
