HELPPPPP my iPhone got really hot then after i cooled it down, my iPhone won't force shut down when i press the volume button and power button at the same time. And then I can't open any apps even though it seems like it works pretty fine. As it can still swipe and receive messages. I just can't open any apps nor reply any messages!!! IM SO FRUSTRATED...…

To force restart an iPhone X, which is showing in your profile, you don’t need to hold down two buttons. Here’s the process. Those press and releases of the volume buttons are just a quick click and release, no need to hold.
Let us know if you’re able to get the device restarted with those steps and if so, if that changes the apps launching and being able to reply to messages.
