Are the "studio quality" microphones on 5th generation iPad 11.9" iPad Pro much better than on 2nd generation, in particular, will they pick up spoken voices from further away?

I had already checked the technical specs online before posting my question.
I also called Apple tech support 3 times and none of them could provide a suitable answer.
In the end, I decided to buy a new iPad Pro anyways. Since then I have tested it myself while using ZOOM with friends, and the microphones are excellent, and solved the problems I was having with my 2nd generation iPad Pro. I am still disappointed that Apple could not provide QUANTITATIVE Technical specs. A QUALITATIVE statement such as "studio quality" does not help a serious buyer.
