Use it on M1 Mac Mini and did followup on M1 MBA works file and not download of software involved.
For clarification, would you expect it to work on my MacBook Air 2020 Monterey M1 12.2.1 ?

It did for me when filing my Income Taxes Feb 28, 2022 .
Have since updated Monterey 12.2.1 to version 12.3 and still works .
