charter email not working on apple mail

For several years my charter email will not send once I leave my home wi-fi or local home /city network. I am in FL now for 2 weeks and I can't send or receive now on my charter email. I have tried all the settings, all the tricks. Nothing. I deleted the account, not trying to add it and it apple mail keeps saying my password is not correct. I know the it is since I can access my charter account via web mail.

I'm running latest OS, Monterey. 12.3 I think it is. Charter is of no help. I finally returned to my home wi fi and by using the incorrect domain settings of mail.charter.net I can get my apple mail to work with charter. Once I leave my home wi-fi it does not work however.

Are you running macOS 10.10 as shown in your equipment line? If so, that ancient OS—now seven major versions behind— may not be recognized by Charter. If you are NOT running os10.10 please tell us which you have so we may better advise you.
