Iphone 12 Pro Max camera lens

Thanks, but unfortunately not actually responsive to my question. Apple will replace back cameras as well as back glass, I am trying to find out which repair gets done for damage - assuming I am correct that it is the only issue - to this outermost glass over or part of the camera? Basically, is the outermost part, which i assume is part of a one-piece back glass assembly, actually part of the camera assembly? Does the camera assembly project out through the back glass in that raised square area or is it covered by the back glass?

I had an apple store appointment for the phone already when I asked. I am interested to learn what I will find is necessary when I get there? can they replace just the camera? do they replace the back glass? And yes, before I get the standard answer from

those who just want to post, I realize it depends on what they find upon inspection. But if there is damage on the outside layer just over the camera, is that damage on the back glass or on the camera assembly?
