Disable the volume button from the camera function

This question was asked in the forum and answered incorrectly. The topic is not about camera sounds so please read carefully. My daughter takes hundreds of pictures by pressing the volume button over and over again. I need to disable this function. It is not a volume or 'sound' issue with taking the photo. I don't want it to be able to take a picture at all with the volume button. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi Iamsus,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Sounds like the setting " Use Volume Up for Burst" is enabled on the device. You can disable this by going to Settings > Camera, then turn off "Use Volume Up for Burst". This will help stop your daughter from being able to use Burst Mode with the volume button.

Check out more information here: Capture action shots with Burst mode on your iPhone camera.

Hope that helps!

Hello I’m having the same issue and this wasn’t the answer to that. We aren’t taking burst photos we are taking one single separate shot every time we press the power button to turn off the phone. This happens because our hands are tiny and we hold the phone in such a way that get us to hold both the power and one of the volume buttons simultaneously, therefore taking a picture. So how do I turn off the function of taking a photo when I press the power and volume buttons simultaneously???

thank you in advance,

Tim
