Apple forced an uninvited update. Now my Avid Sibelius 7 has no sounds. My mac is 10.12 working on Siera. I cant upgrade to Majave or go back to El Capitan. What next?

Apple only updates automatically when that selection is made active by the user.

Likely you need to get a Monterey compatible driver for your Avid device. They can usually be found on the developer's website. Be aware, not all developers create new drivers right away if at all, but you need to check there and possibly ask them too.

Do you have a backup made before this update? It is not clear but it seems you were on 10.9 and were upgraded to 10.12?

In the example, the sub-model is "27-inch, Mid 2010." What does yours display in that space?
