When I click on a News App Headline in Today View the link fails to open that article, opens the general news

When I click on a News App Headline in Today View the link fails to open that article, opens the general news. This has been happening for about a year so I have been living with this. Now it is just bothering me since I lost another story that I wanted to read and I am looking for a solution. If I go back to the today view and hit the link again sometimes this takes three tries it then opens the story directly. Unfortunately what sometimes occurs is that the news app in today view often removes the headline (just like I if I had gone directly to the story) so that I am not even able to see the headline I was looking for and then I am not able to find the story or the link. This indicates it is possible to open a story and it does not work the first time. I am not a Apple News subscriber. This used to work perfectly. IOS 15.3.1 iPhone 13 pro max.

Since you're not seeing the correct stories when you click on them in the Apple News app, we've got a few suggestions.


First, in addition to new features, our iOS updates also include bug fixes. We recently released iOS 15.4, so our first suggestion is to Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.


Second, if the Apple News app is still having trouble, delete the app using Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and then redownload it using Redownload apps and games from Apple. Issues with specific apps may be resolved by reinstalling the app in question.


Finally, if you're still having issues, please Contact Apple Support.
