Hey Teal na,

There isn't an option to add an iCloud icon in the menu bar for macOS. If you'd like to check out iCloud information, you can do so by following the steps below:

Click the Apple menu  in the upper left-hand cornerChoose System PreferencesFrom there, you should see an Apple ID option in the upper right-hand corner of the windowAfter that opens, you should see a tab for iCloud in the left sidebar, which you can choose t view iCloud related details and services.
