Why are some of my photos just showing up as a blank square in my camera roll and how can I recover them?

My pictures arent loading they’re just blank

If your photos are appearing as blank squares in the Photos app on your iPhone, you'll want to start by making sure you're connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network with good signal strength.


Next, ensure that iCloud Photos is turned on:


Make sure that iCloud Photos is turned on
iCloud Photos securely stores all of your photos and videos in iCloud, so that you can access them on all your devices. If you took a photo on your iPhone but don't see it on your other devices, check your settings with these steps.

1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
2. Go to Settings > [your name], then tap iCloud.
3. Tap Photos.
4. Turn on iCloud Photos.

After you turn on iCloud Photos, you might need to connect to Wi-Fi and wait a few minutes. Then look for your photos again.
