Safari 15.3: Offline HTML files don't display images when dropped into Safari.

When developing websites, I always used to be able to drop an offline HTML file onto Safari and it would display, with images. With Safari 15.3 (and OS 12.2.1) that no longer works - the images don't display. It does still work in Chrome. (Disable Images is NOT checked in the Develop menu, so that's not the problem. Besides, the same pages display fine when they're accessed online.)

Any way to fix this?

I just figured out something: it doesn't appear to be a Safari or OS issue per se, because if I drop a file from the Finder, it still works as expected. The problem is when I drop a file from the local side of my FTP program, which is Transmit. They must have changed something, although as I reported earlier, it works with Chrome.

They’re relative links and in the case of “dropping” the HTML file onto the browser, the image files are local. (In other words the images and HTML files are both on my local hard disk AND online, but in this case, it’s all local.)

Again, this always worked before either the OS or the Safari upgrade and it still works fine using Chrome.
