Fall Detection

Hello,

My mom has seizures, and we are looking into getting her a watch for the fall detection feature.

is it possible to have the fall detection set to call a family member instead of 911?

Apple Watch Series 6, watchOS 7

No. If the watch detects a fall, it will call 911 before sending the family members a message. See:

There are no other options.

Hopefully the watch will detect her falls but don't expect it on a regular basis. I have epilepsy and it hasn't detected any of my falls. I've been to the ER twice due to falls and have had several other falls that weren't detected. The only time it sent me a fall notification is once when I was making my bed.
