Carrier unlock

The original service I had and current one will not unlock my phone so that I would be able to use it when I go on vacation..?what can I do to get it unlocked?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Contact the carrier. But, it's unlikely they will unlock simply for vacation. Look into whatever roaming plans they have available.
