Background Music lower volume

My background music sound is a bit too loud. How do I soften it?

The easiest way to change the volume of an audio clip is first to click on the Settings button above and to the right of the timeline. In the box that appears, put a check in the Audio: Show Waveforms. box. Then look at your audio clip and you will see the wave forms and a very faint horizontal line going across the clip. Put your cursor on the horizontal line and drag up or down to raise or lower the volume.

Another way is to select the clip by clicking on it and then click on the little loudspeaker icon in the tool bar in the upper right of your screen. That will reveal the audio controls. You will see a slider where you can raise or lower the volume by percent.
