why is my i-anything; MacBook Pro, iPhone 12 Pro max, wasting my black ink in the printer? why does it black out pictures, photos, screenshots, images, etc that are part of a text conversation?

its clearly a purposeful apple thing and deserving of an explanation or a how to make it happen. harvesting peoples information (an unnatural resource paid by users for apple to harvest) could easily be a bit more user friendly.

It’s a laser jet the colors are still pretty close to full. Had to replace the black as over 1000 pages were printed and multiple pictures were blacked out. As soon as you hit the print menu for text messages system blacks out and covers up the pictures on the print preview and print menu. It’s definitely not the printer. It looks like someone clicked and dragged a black box over the picture and missed a sliver along the edges. Obviously programmed to do so. I’m wondering if it is a setting I’m missing or just Apple not being user friendly.

did I buy a tugboat to travel a 6 lane interstate?
