how to retrieve pic that was deleted from iphone folder while trying to download it onto windows PC

I accidentally deleted a pic that I was trying to copy from iphone folder to a backup disk on my windows PC before i copied it (yet to copy and paste, just accidentally deleted it). How can i retrieve it back? I tried to use Disk Drill software on my PC but I could not locate the iphone under that software to try to scan and find the picture. Must i own a Mac to find that lost photo? Is there an alternative? i am hoping not to have to buy a software for 1 picture retrieval.

I think it unlikely if you were connected to a folder on the phone and not importing pictures directly into photos. Maybe someone else might post some information but I suspect that you bypassed the "recently deleted" folder on the device and automatically deleted the file. It's possible the file is in your trash on the Windows machine?

Unfortunately as it was not copied n paste but just deleted from the folder while the phone was connected to the pc, the trash folder shows no records of it. Other than disk drill and ibeesoft, UltData is another software that claims they are able to retrieve if I buy their package. Not sure if anyone has tried and able to advise. Don’t want to be taken for a ride. I do really want back that picture. 😥
