MacMini2018 Monitor stays dark

Since the update to Monterey 12.3 my ASUS PA32UCX monitor stays dark when I boot up my MacMini2018. The MacMini is connected to the monitor via a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.

This did not happen before the upgrade. I have had the MacMini for three years and have not seen this issue with older versions of MacOS

I have read in other threads that a workaround is unplugging the monitor cable from the MacMini and replugging it after the MacMini has booted. This sometimes works, but obviously is not a solution.

I am grateful for hints how to solve this.
