Hi this is what Whatsup support sent, I verified this information and everything is enabled
Please ensure the permissions for desired features are enabled. For example, if you want to share your Camera with WhatsApp, that must be enabled.
In your device's Settings > Privacy, each menu should have WhatsApp set to ON.
If WhatsApp is greyed out or doesn't appear in Privacy settings, ensure that you don't have any restrictions set in iPhone Settings > Privacy.
The path might vary from phone to phone. Contact your phone's manufacturer for instructions.

So, my question is why the android recording feature works with the whatsup feature? do thye have a dfferent protocol maybe?
