a pop up of "apple tech support" showed up in my safari, saying I have a virus, I believed it and they make me download an app: "Support LogMeIn rescue", then the app asked me to allow access, it got suspicious and I cancel immediately, deleted the app, closed everything I had open and even shut down my MacBook. I believed nothing bad had happened to my MacBook, but I was wondering if there might be something I can do to clean up any virus, hacker, or suspicious activity on my MacBook, should I be worry? should I do something else?

Thank you
