Recently Hacked, Need Assistance

I recently had my MacBook Pro hacked, and it is no longer operational. They gained remote access, accessed the Keychain, and then crashed the computer and Partitioned the hard drive. When this was happening I did not register the fact or danger, that my iPhone was plugged in. (Was charging, 99% of the time I don’t do this)

Needless to say that phone is a goner. Now I’m on my second iPhone but it seems to be having similar issues as the plugged in iPhone despite a new Apple ID, and SIM. How can I definitively confirm whether or not an iPhone has been jailbroken? (Factory reset done through iTunes already, does not help)

Thank you for your time in advance,

J

Thank you for that article. I had ALL of those symptoms on the phone that was plugged in, confirmed my Apple ID was hacked, network was compromised, (Samsung Smart TV was hacked (code altered in software to add fake “virus scan” option in settings etc.) and eventually the passcode was changed on the phone. There weren’t visible apps that were added but the existing apple apps were altered and the settings menu was changed. Needless to say that article basically confirms my conclusion for that phone.

The only problem persisting on my new iPhone is constant website redirects with extra code in the URL.

I’ve done a factory reset and cleared everything in Safari. This phone did connect to the infected TV (after Samsung factory reset) for a few seconds, and that is the only link unless there were issues before I purchased it.

With my limited knowledge and days of research I think that issue with the second phone is not connected to the first incident. Rather I think the iPhone I bought off the secondary market was not updated in time and has the com.apple.network.xpx malware/virus.

All “Sign-In” pages I go to, whether it’s google, apple, Samsung, my internet provider, or my cell phone provider, all have incorrect URLS, and redirect code. It looks like they are being Called Back so my account information is scraped, before I login. As mentioned I have limited background, I’ve just been researching all night, every night as I haven’t found a definitive solution. Can anyone advise on this?
