Group Messaging

I am unable to remove myself from group messaging (MMS) when other users are android users. Is there a way to be asked to be in a group message before the messaging begins? OR a way to remove myself from the group thread? I understand going to the "I" I can look at the people in the thread, swipe to remove OTHER people, but not myself (only on group chats with only apple users). Nor can the person who originally created the thread. Please HELP!

there is no option to be remove from group MMS only group imessage. Text the sender and ask him/her to create a new thread and omit you from it.
