12.3 update caused problems with Seagate external hdd and Time Machine

Disk Utility First aid show the Seagate external drives develop errors when the computer goes to sleep and then awake.

MPB Pro 2018 1TB 32GB

Problems with both Seagate Expansion 12TB and Seagate Backup+Hub 8TB

The MacBook Pro has Thunderbolt 3 <->USB 3 hub<->Seagate drives.

After sleep and awake cycle an error dialog box says the drives were not ejected properly.

Disk First Aid confirms the problem and says the disks have failed and data should be removed from them.

Confusing. Previous versions of Mac OS X did not have this problem.

Suggestions?

Similar problem with an external display. Mac mini (2018) + LG 34BL850 connected through USB-C.

After the upgrade, things work from the moment Mac mini boots until the first standby. When mac switches to standby and awakes from it, the display doesn't get a signal, hard restart is needed.

After the hard restart, there is a diagnostic window about segmentation fault: "window server Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11 Segmentation fault: 11".
