Safari New bookmarks order listing error!

As a possible, temporary, work around solution, I disabled the feature “Use Start page on all devices” on all my devices and this seems to have stopped the random resorting. My favorites are still staying synched and seem to be holding the organizational structure I want them to be in on all three of my devices.

Does this behavior continue if you add a bookmark in safe mode, as described at How to use safe mode on your Mac? That article also contains follow-up steps depending on the results of the test.

Yes this is happening to me aswell must be a bug because if you align the bookmarks after being added so there on the bottom in MacOS 12.3 then check your bookmarks in iOS 15.4 iPhone or iPad you'll see there screwed up.

Deleting/synching/backing up does nothing to remedy this problem.

From the Safari Home Screen, click the control icon in the lower right corner. Uncheck the box labeled "Use Start Page on All Devices". Do this on your other linked devices accordingly if you so choose. This isn't perfect, but it seems to have helped for me with the crazier reshuffling.

Same issue. I have an iMac, iPad, and iPhone and move the icons around and can watch it screw itself up in real time. Very bizarre. I actually reset my iCloud password it was so spooky- like watching a hack. Seems to have come about with the latest iOS/ macOS update. Not just adding new bookmarks but manages to randomly sort existing bookmarks too.

A bunch of favorites have started to get moved from their original position (dropbox.com/s/x3i47hijkhsf5rq/favorites-order.jpg) to the top of the page (dropbox.com/s/8w78mnzqzd215un/favorites-error.jpg) - I never touched them, except to move them back in their original position every time because I can’t stand the mess.

I noticed this a week ago after the new update. Something is obviously broken. I hope it gets fixed pronto.

But it’s not the update as the problem (at least for me) started before it - I updated my devices hoping the 15.4.1 build would solve the issue, but instead it made it worse.

Worked for a day then I opened my computer this morning and they're back on top.

I hope someone fixes it. It's a nuisance.

Never worked for me, the favorites keep being moved to the top…more and more of them since this started.

It sure would be helpful to say where, exactly, you must go to disable the "Use Start Page On All Devices" feature.
