OSX install from Internet can't find disk location

Old MAcBook Air was failing to boot. Erased Disk in order to run a restore from the Internet to load a fresh image but when I get to the "Select the disk you want to install OSX" no disk shows ..

Do I need to do something in Disk Utiity first because I erased it before?

Hi,

Resetting NVRAM could solve the issue.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Also if DiskUtilities detects internal drive, reformat the drive, then select reinstall macOS which could works.
