Being new to Mac, I have managed to learn how to sort emails by sender's name in mail app.
My mail box has thousands of messages and I often need to find messages by sender. In my past life (W10), I could do it easily by just typing the first letter of the name I wish to find. However, not sure how to do it in apple mail app.
If any one of us has surpassed this hurdle, would be enlightening to read from them.

I am running iOS 12.3 and can't figure out how to sort the mail in my mailboxes. when I was running Mail on my 2011 machine I could sort by Sender, To, Date, etc. Now I don't see any way to sort my mail. What gives??

You can still sort Mac Mail, although it may be different than the earlier OS versions, hope this can help:

I don’t use it, so you’ll have to see if this works. Switch to column layout and click on the header.
Or, cmd-f, then start typing the name, click on the search token for that person.
I didn't think to look there, but it works. Used to be able to do it right at the header of the column. Thx.
