What if I get a message that says there is "liquid" in the port?

My wife's phone keeps getting a message that there is "liquid" in the port. This has happened with two different chargers. I'm sure there isn't. Any ideas?

Just let it dry out. There's the possibility that it's defective and registering false positives. Perhaps have it checked out with a diagnostic.
